Preferred Browsers

OpenDb is developed and tested with the following primary browsers:

• Firefox 3.X
• IE 7, IE 8

What about other browsers?

OpenDb is periodically tested with the following browsers and any layout issues are resolved (or worked around) where possible:

• Konquerer
• Opera (Windows and Linux)
• Safari 3 (Windows version)
• Firefox 2.X

No other versions of these browsers will be tested or supported, unless specifically requested. Fixes will be investigated and provided as long as these browsers can be installed on Linux or Windows XP SP2.

Unsupported Browsers

• IE 4.X, 5.X, 6.X
• Firefox 1.X
• Netscape 4.x

Other Browsers

All other browsers will be tested where possible, and bugs specific to browsers other than those above will be fixed where possible.

Admin Tools and IE

The Administration section of the site is only ever tested to function correctly with Firefox.

In most cases it should function fine in IE, however if you experience issues running the Admin Tools with IE, you should try Firefox instead. If you do not have firefox installed and are not able to install it due to security issues, it is suggested that you try Firefox Portable, this can be executed from a USB Stick and requires no installation.
